Hind D Boss Guide (Strategy)

1	Walk around using the water tank as cover.
2	Check Hind D’s position on the soliton radar.
3	Keep the Stinger ready.
4	Avoid the first missile by going to the north side of the area.
5	Lock on from over the building.
6	Avoid the second missile by taking cover behind the water tank.

Metal Gear Solid (MGS1) Boss List

Walk around using the water tank as cover.

Hide behind the water tanks to avoid getting hit by the Hind D’s strafing attack.

The general strategy for the fight is to basically take cover behind the water tanks and then coming out to deal damage to the boss.

Check Hind D’s position on the soliton radar.

Hind-D’s current location is indicated by a purple dot on the soliton radar. Always keep an eye on the soliton radar to confirm Hind D’s position.

Keep the Stinger ready.

The soliton radar will tell you the direction Hind D is going, so keep the Stinger ready. When you lock on the boss, fire the Stinger to deal damage.

Avoid the first missile by going to the north side of the area.

Liquid Snake will shout the signal indicating when the Hind D will fire a missile. If you are on the north side of the area, you will not be caught in the missile bombardment.

Lock on from over the building.

After the missile strike, the Hind D will lower its altitude and take cover behind a building.

Since it is possible to aim at the Hind D from over the building, try to lock on in advance and fire when the boss appears from the building.

Avoid the second missile by taking cover behind the water tanks.

When Hind D’s health is reduced to 0, it will fire a second missile. You avoid getting hit by hiding behind the water tanks.
