You can get Chaff Grenade explosives in Metal Gear Solid (MGS1) at various areas in the game such as the Heliport, Tank Hangar, Valley, Snowfield, Nuclear Warhead Storage Building, and Underground Base.

How to use Chaff Grenade

Used to temporarily disable surveillance cameras and gun cameras.

The Chaff Grenade will jam surveillance cameras and gun cameras for 10 seconds.

Useful during the M1 Tank and Metal Gear Rex boss fights.

Using Chaff Grenades during the M1 Tank boss battle prevents the enemy from using the tank’s main gun. The explosive weapon is also capable of disabling the tracking performance of Metal Gear Rex’s missiles and cause the massive boss to lose sight of Snake.
