You can get Claymore mines in Metal Gear Solid (MGS1) at the valley area (before fighting the M1 Tank) where many of them are planted. To collect them, equip the Mine Detector while crawling toward them.

How to use Claymore

Effective during the Vulcan Raven boss fight.

You can place Claymores in advance where Vulcan Raven will pass through to deal damage to him.

Claymore mines become invisible when planted so be sure to equip the Mine Detector to know where they are. This will help you prevent any accidental deaths when using the explosive.
