You can get the PSG1 sniper rifle in Metal Gear Solid (MGS1) at the Tank Hangar Armory B2F. The weapon is found inside the west room which requires an ID Card Lv.5 to access.

How to use PSG1

Required during the first Sniper Wolf fight.

The PSG1 sniper rifle is a necessary weapon for the first fight against Sniper Wolf. In the second battle, you can use the Nikita or Stinger to defeat her. You can still use the PSG1 if you want to beat Sniper Wolf normally.

Metal Gear Solid Boss List

Use Diazepam to reduce camera shake while aiming.

There is noticeable camera shake when aiming down the sights of the PSG1. Using Diazepam will suppress this involuntary movement so use it to adjust your aim more easily.
