How to Use Rations

Restores Snake’s health

This item can restore some of Snake’s health. To use the item, simply press L2 to open the item window, then press O when the ration is selected.

In addition, if Shake’s health drops to 0 while the ration is equipped, it will automatically restore some of his health. Therefore, it is recommended to equip this item when fighting bosses in the game.

Cannot be used when the item is frozen

There are areas throughout the game where the temperature is low, such as the room where you face Vulcan Raven, which causes your rations to freeze and become unusable for a brief period of time.

The solution to situations like this is to simply equip your ration and wait for it to unfreeze.
