Metal Gear Rex Boss Guide (Strategy)

1	Blind Metal Gear Rex with Chaff Grenades.
2	Go behind the radome.
3	Attack the radome with the Stinger.
4	Block Liquid Snake’s vision by passing between Metal Gear Rex’s legs.
5	Aim and fire the Stinger at Metal Gear Rex’s cockpit.

Metal Gear Solid (MGS1) Boss List

Blind Metal Gear Rex with Chaff Grenades.

Throw Chaff Grenades to blind Metal Gear Rex. Use as many Chaff Grenades as you can, as you want to jam Metal Gear Rex’s systems for as long as possible.

Go behind the radome.

A radar called a radome is mounted on the left shoulder of Metal Gear Rex. The first half of the fight is focused on destroying this radome.

After throwing the Chaff Grenade, go around behind the radome.

Attack the radome with the Stinger.

After going behind the radome and attack it with the Stinger. The effect of the Chaff Grenade wears off around this phase, so throw one last Chaff Grenade now.

Block Liquid Snake’s vision by passing between Metal Gear Rex’s legs.

In the second half of the fight, Metal Gear Rex’s cockpit will open due to the radome being destroyed.

Liquid Snake will lose sight of you if you pass between Metal Gear Rex’s legs. Afterwards, try to keep your distance during the fight.

Fire the Stinger at Metal Gear Rex’s cockpit.

Keep your distance and aim at the cockpit using the Stinger.

You do not need to lock-on so just fire while aiming at Liquid Snake to deal damage.
