New Jurassic World Evolution Trailer Released!

More than twenty years ago, Jurassic Park swung into the scene, dazzling the minds of children and adults with the glorious wonder of scaly-skinned, majestic, and often horrifying terrible lizards. This seminal hit reverberated through the decades as a wonderful movie that continues to amaze new moviegoers. So many people were inspired by Jurassic Park that even yours truly owes a lot to that film.

Due to its breakout success, Jurassic Park spawned three more movies bearing its name (including The Lost World: Jurassic Park), and tons of video games, including Warpath, The Lost World (Arcade), and Operation: Genesis. After a long decade of silence, with rumors of Jurassic Park IV raised to life and killed again and again and again, Jurassic World rocked the movie scene last 2015, and was a massive tribute to the original, while attempting to be its own great dinosaur movie.

Well, Jurassic World follows its predecessor’s footsteps, first starting this official annoucement trailer for the video game, Jurassic World Evolution.

Beginning in a very similar way as Jurassic World, the game trailer gives us an idea of the finished product via pre-rendered footage. In classic Jurassic Park fashion, dinosaurs like the T. rex in the video will be able to burst out of their set up paddocks and kill other animals in the area. The player will be able to control ACU agents to pacify dinosaurs rampaging, as well as take control of the park itself. This is very similar to Operation Genesis, the previous Park simulator created in the early 2000s.

What we know so far.

  • Possible similarity to Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis
  • Resurgence of Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Parasaurolopus
  • Animal Control Unit presence (helicopter and building) in-game for dinosaurs breaking out.
