Crystal Controllers
Sony will be releasing three new controller colorways in October in USA/Europe and November in Japan. These new controllers will have a “crystal” theme with translucent casings which exposes the inner-workings of the controllers. These controllers will surely make players feel nostalgia as they reminisce about playing the Playstation One using their crystal controllers.
The crystal casing for gadgets has been a trend during the 90s, with Nintendo and Sony offering translucent version of their consoles and controllers.
The three colors that were revealed were Crystal, Blue Crystal, and Red Crystal. The Crystal color features a translucent casing at the top of the controller with an opaque casing at the bottom. The two other controllers use the same scheme, but with a shade of blue and red.
These crystal controllers will be available on October 17 in the US and Europe. While there is still no exact release date in Japan, it is expected to be on November.
