Gameplay Length
When it comes to gameplay, people don’t like spending too much time playing a single game. While some games have post game content, others would prefer to finish the game. Games can vary from 8-10 hours. Other games can range to 20+ hours such as RPGs and many other games that are content heavy.
Resident Evil 7 Gameplay Length of 15 hours?
Unlike Resident Evil 6, the Resident Evil 7 gameplay is a little shorter. While Resident Evil 6 exceeded the 20 hour gameplay length, Resident Evil 7 is reported to only have 15 hours worth of gameplay. That’s going from the start to all the way to the foreboding Duvley Haunted House where Ethan Winters has a showdown with the Bakers.
What gives this game its appeal is the fact that Capcom intends to go back to the roots. Relying on the traditional psychological horror, Resident Evil 7 involves a heavy load of suspense and thrillers that can keep the player on edge. Fear can render a player frozen and have them put the game off for another day.
For those who played both Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, some players have given their mixed reviews of the gameplay length. Some may find it too long. Others find the game too short. However, the game nonetheless is accepted with wide open arms as it goes back to its roots. It is the horror that drives people to the brink of insanity with suspense that engraves itself into your mind. It’s this kind of feeling that made Resident Evil 7 so highly anticipated this coming January 24, 2017.
However, what will really seal the deal is if Resident Evil 7 can bring back what most gamers love: the story. Can it create a storyline that will keep players hooked? What will we learn about the Bakers? What mysteries can Resident Evil 7 solve for us? We’ll find that all out once the game comes out.
