Many video game media sites have released gameplay demos of Shadow of War. The Gamescom 2017 demo featured the Siege gameplay that will be a new mechanic enjoyed by SoW players. The demo features Golm the Commander, atop his massive tower. The player chooses the orc hordes that will help him attack the castle.

Talion can opt to take out ballista-bearing trolls atop the castle walls in order to get through the massive breach, or help his horde down in the battlefield. He could also use a drake incinerate his enemies. The myriad of choices the player can receive depends on which hordes he chooses to invade with. Capturing the castle won’t be easy, though, as the massive horde of enemies inside won’t let up, forcing you to fight a massive horde of enemies to take the castle.

Personally it all seems too MMO-like for me, but let’s see when it comes out this October 10 for Windows, PS4, and Xbox One.
