Poison Mist Sub-Weapon Added to Game [Splatoon 2]

The Splatoon 2 development team includes an interesting weapon to the arsenal of paint-spewers usable in the game – the Poison Mist. There will also be various other equipment and outfits available to players, including the return of the Blaster, for the sequel of the colorful shooter game set to come out on July 2017.

Poison Mist Sub-Weapon Added to Splatoon 2

In a recent tweet from one of Splatoon’s official sister accounts (@InkopolisNews), it has been confirmed that a new weapon dubbed “Poison Mist” will be included in Splatoon 2 as a sub-weapon in the game. The weapons description is simply summarized as “Poison in a bottle”.

Poison Mist is said to act as a form of “area denial” that causes enemies who enter the “mist” to move much slower as if they were in the opposing team’s ink color while gradually depleting their ink as well.

The image above shows the effects of the Poison Mist. It somewhat covers a wide area in the map, and may make multiplayer matches more interesting by denying opponents of their movement speed and ink reserves when they need them the most.

The powerful Blaster weapons will also be returning to Splatoon 2, which was previously compatible with Disruptor sub-weapons and Killer Wail special weapons. For the upcoming sequel, the Blasters will be able to accommodate the Poison Mist and Splashdown weapons.
