Recommended Gameplay Settings for The Callisto Protocol
This page contains a guide on recommended gameplay settings for The Callisto Protocol, including Combat Assist options you can toggle to make the game easier when playing on any difficulty mode and other useful tips.
Please note that the settings listed below are simply recommendations. You can choose to disable any of them if you prefer more challenging gameplay.
Combat Assist options can be tweaked from the main menu (start screen) or mid-game.
How to Enable Combat Assists
Combat Assist can be accessed from the main menu (start screen) before beginning the game from Main Menu > Options > Gameplay.
You can also adjust Combat Assist options from the mid-game by pressing the Options button (PS4 and PS5) during play. Then, go to Options > Accessibility > Combat Assists.
List of Recommended Combat Assists
Gameplay Setting | Details |

Auto-Aim On | Makes aiming easier by allowing you to lock-on to the nearest enemy. |
Auto-Dodge On | Allows you to automatically evade incoming attacks. |
Melee Assist On | Makes hitting enemies with melee weapons easier. |
QTE Single Press On | Allows you to complete Quick Time Events by pressing one button instead of inputting a sequence. |
QTE Auto Complete On | Automatically completes Quick Time Events for you without the need for any inputs. |
Combat Assists can be enabled even on Maximum Security Difficulty (Hard)
All Combat Assist settings can be turned on even while playing on Maximum Security difficulty without any penalties. This allows you to unlock The Protocol is Life (Gold trophy) achievement more easily to get 100% completion (Platinum trophy) as there are no repercussions for doing so with any assist options enabled.
