U-Material Farming Guide

Monster Drop

U-Material is dropped by at least one monster in a map as well as bosses. You can farm U-Material by defeating all enemies that appear in the field.

Farming Tips

Lower the Difficulty

You will be able to defeat enemies faster when farming U-Material if you lower the difficulty to Very Easy. You change the difficulty mode at any time during the main story except when playing on Nightmare mode.

Use S-Crafts to Quickly Take Out Enemies

It is recommended to use powerful S-Crafts that allow you to kill enemies in as little time as possible. Try to choose a good area to continuously run farming cycles, particularly near inns so you can conveniently rest and recover CP. Equipping Emblem (Master Quartz), however, does away with this, as you will recover CP even without resting.

You can increase the efficiency of farming for U-Material by using equipment that grant increased item drop rate and enhance S-Craft damage.

Fishing

U-Material can also be obtained by fishing for Snow Shrubs and Amalcarps. The amount of U-Materials obtained varies between the two catches.

You can also obtain U-Material as a reward by winning in Pom’tto, though it is definitely a harder means to obtain the material than by farming enemies or fishing.
