Welcome to the Day 12 Round-Up of Kaisaya’s AOV Valiant Online Community Tournament. This day saw the last few matches of the Lower Bracket Matches, as well as some Upper Bracket games. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights:

Dominus Knights utilized a traditional Marksman composition, taking Maloch, Lauriel, Murad, The Joker and Mina. This team relies heavily on team fights where Mina and Maloch would man the tanking duties, while Murad, The Joker, and Lauriel deal burst damage. On the other hand, ESF Mayhem opted to go for a harass composition in Preyta, Xeniel, Lindis, Ryoma, and Alice. ESF Mayhem’s strategy employs a hit-and-run approach to go with lane pressure.
The story of the match was about roaming and quick skirmishes. ESF Mayhem took first blood early, picking off Dominus Knights’ Lauriel via 3-man gank in the middle lane. Dominus Knights’ Murad avenged Lauriel in short order, eliminating Preyta; Lindis was then able to snipe a low health Murad for a 2-1 lead.
By the 5 minute mark, ESF Mayhem’s fLarry and Bryan were running roughshod against Dominus Knights – their excellent roaming netted them kills and momentum going into the mid-game, 3-8. fLarry shown impeccable skill in Lindis, properly positioning himself during team fights and making sure he executes Dominus Knights’ carries. Meanwhile, Dominus Knights were not able to properly set up engages and pick off ESF Mayhem’s damage-dealers.
Eventually, the Run-and-Gun technique worked for ESF Mayhem, earning a well-deserved 25-5 thrashing and the victory.

Shallow Dead chose to have a highly mobile and duel-intensive lineup, choosing Zephys, The Joker, Alice, Tulen and Maloch. Meanwhile, Static Gamers picked a more sustained damage-centric composition, using Mina, Max, Lu Bu, Ryoma, and Lauriel.
Static Gamers got first blood honors in 1:56, picking off Starteless’ Alice with a 3-man gank of VIPER, Ghoull, and SG Oni. This was then followed by an early Abyssal Dragon kill, earning Static Gamers an early gold and experience advantage.
Not to be deterred, ShallowDead tried to engage Static Gamers at 3:54 in the middle lane. But the early kills proved to be the crucial factor for Static Gamers, who were quick to stifle ShallowDead’s initiate for a 3-1 team kill leading to a 7-2 lead.
Static Gamers were relentless, getting an ace at 8:35 and the middle high ground tower in succession. ShallowDead managed to fend off the initial siege, but ultimately, Static Gamers’ moxie proved to be too much, as they stormed into ShallowDead’s base and got the impressive 29-6 win.

The first Best of 3 series for this day saw EnemyE-Sports Gods battle NovaPH Tsuyoi. EnemyE-Sports chose a formidable lineup consisting of Xeniel, Zephys, Cresht, Airi, and Violet. On the other hand, NovaPH picked Maloch, Max, Mina, Lindis, and Lauriel as their team.
Both teams employed some heavy roaming in the early stages of the game; StifLer got first blood honors at 1:07 when he and his team caught a low health Max at the Dark Slayer lane. At 2:45, NovaPH managed to pick off Zephys and Xeniel near EnemyE-Sports’ Might Golem, effectively taking a small lead.
7:00 saw NovaPH engage EnemyE-Sports which resulted into a 4v4 clash in the middle lane. StifLer managed to get a triple kill after the chaos, while Xeniel managed to stop and also eliminate Max at the top lane which prevented Max from helping NovaPH.
This set the tone for the mid and late game, as both teams looked to initiate team fights to varied results. After securing Dark Slayer, NovaPH seemed primed to win the game. EnemyE-Sports were on the defensive, losing a clash at the bottom high ground tower and NovaPH sensing blood. However, NovaPH failed to capitalize on the weakened EnemyE-Sports, and were caught out of place at 18:03 – this led to a 4-man rout in favor EnemyE-Sports. This proved to be the catalyst, as EnemyE-Sports rode the momentum on their way to a hard-fought 24-22 Game 1 win.

The second Best of 3 Series match between EnemyE-Sports Gods battle NovaPH Tsuyoi saw EnemyE-Sports managed to get Superman, who was unbanned, to go along with their Zanis, Alice, Preyta, and Violet picks. Meanwhile, NovaPH chose a similar lineup in Maloch, Max, Murad, Lumburr, and Raz as their team composition.
From the get-go, the action was fast-paced, with each team planning to contest the Abyssal Dragon at 2:08. EnemyE-Sports managed to secure the objective, and then proceeded to take out Psycho and aero to net first blood honors.
NovaPH also showcased their Max play – Crushed was quick to use Max’s single target elimination skills to good use, getting some snipes against Superman and Zanis. However, EnemyE-Sports continued to pressure the lanes and destroying towers.
A clash at 9:42 saw EnemyE-Sports secure another tower and caught NovaPH’s Maloch. NovaPH retaliated by shutting down EnemyE-Sports’ offensive, but were still down 9-15. A costly ambush attempt by NovaPH at 10:52 saw EnemyE-Sports thwarting another Max run-in on their Violet, which in turn, led to a very messy 4v4 in favor for EnemyE-Sports. After winning the clash, EnemyE-Sports rallied and managed to defeat NovaPH, 20-9, as well as a 2-0 sweep.

The second Best-of-3 series match saw SteelWolves.Dire compete against EVO. SteelWolves picked the two most recent heroes to debut in the Valiant Server in Max and Teemee to their lineup, who were complemented with Lu Bu, Lindis, and Tulen. As for EVO, they opted to run a mobile burst team comprising of Xeniel, Alice, Airi, Zephys, and Lauriel.
SteelWolves were the aggressors in the earlier stages of the match, employing a Sage Golem invade strategy against EVO. However, EVO managed to pick up their Sage Golem and proceeded to execute their jungle path. But true to their name, SteelWolves were relentless and stole Zephys’ Might Golem as he was about to get it at 1:08.
At 1:36, SteelWolves got first blood honors by picking off EVO’s Airi who tried to steal their Might Golem. EVO returned the favor by offing Lindis at the middle lane in quick order. This set the tone for majority of the match – each team traded kills after each clash, with neither team getting the edge.
EVO then secured Dark Slayer after a thrilling clash at 11:23, which gave EVO a good amount of momentum at 14-9 team kills. EVO made the most out of the buff, decimating the 1st and 2nd tier towers on the top lane. This continued onto the bottom lane, where EVO managed to deflect the defenses of SteelWolves and destroy the 2nd tier tower.
With momentum on their side, EVO managed to pick off Teemee in the middle lane, forcing him to use his ultimate in order to save himself. EVO took advantage of this, mowing down SteelWolves thanks to Lauriel and Alice’s excellent positioning and timing. This led to EVO winning the highly competitive Game 1, 21-10.

Game 2 saw SteelWolves using a standard Marksman team consisting of Maloch, Teemee, Zanis, Lu Bu, and the Joker. Meanwhile, EVO employed a similar team composition in Game 1 in Alice, Xeniel, Airi, Violet, and Lauriel – the Marksman choice was due to the Zephys ban.
SteelWolves employed the same strategy in Game 1, pestering EVO’s Violet who was tasked to jungling duty. Luckily, Alice provided support for Violet and effectively thwarted SteelWolves’ Teemee. EVO then retaliates by picking off Kailon at the bottom lane to get First Blood. Unfazed, SteelWolves managed to secure an early Abyssal Dragon and try to regain gold advantage.
Both teams started to play conservatively as the game transitioned to the middle stages. They were quick to scout the enemy jungle, as well as keep an eye on the Abyssal Dragon and their respective lanes. Nab tried to burst down swi in the middle lane at 5:18, but the rest of the SteelWolves were quick to respond, which led into a team fight. After the chaos, SteelWolves manage to win the skirmish, 5-3, as well as take down the 1st tier tower in the middle lane.
Another clash occurs at 7:01, with EVO shutting down Kailon’s Lu Bu. This allowed them to push and destroy the 1st bottom tower and a much needed break. After picking off Teemee at 9:34, EVO is starting to gain momentum, securing Dark Slayer and rushing SteelWolves’ top tower. The run proved to be the death blow for SteelWolves, as EVO managed to breeze through their top towers, rendering them unable to contest the Abyssal Dragon.
The deciding clash happened at 14:41, when EVO again managed to single out the Teemee and then proceeded to engage the undermanned SteelWolves, decimating them in the process. SteelWolves’ Joker opted to have a base race, but EVO’s 4-man bombardment proved to be too much. EVO wins the series, sweeping SteelWolves, 16-7.

The last Lower Bracket match pitted Team BlakPink against PowerRangers. Team BlakPink opted for an engage-heavy lineup with Ormarr, Thane, Jinnar, Zill and Slimz. As for the PowerRangers, they picked a mobile yet burst-intensive team in Tulen, Lu Bu, Violet, Xeniel, and Alice. It is also worth noting that PowerRangers opted to go for a three-man Punish talent setup for Violet, Lu Bu and Xeniel.
Team BlakPink stormed and stole PowerRangers’ Might Golem early, while SG Relax’s Violet was busy securing the Sage Golem. This led to PowerRangers invading Team BlakPink’s Might Golem where they managed to get first blood honors care of a low health Thane being unable to escape.
SG JoBunny’s prowess with Mages was showcased in this fight, as he netted two additional kills for his team, resulting in an early gold lead. By the 3:20 mark, PowerRangers have been running the show, thanks in part to excellent positioning from Tulen and Violet whose tandem burst damage gave their team a 0-6 Team kill advantage.
Another clash in the middle lane at 4:38 saw PowerRangers blitzing Team BlakPink – Tulen and Violet made quick work of Team BlakPink’s engages, and ended up with a commanding 11-0 team score. By the 5:45 mark, Team BlakPink tried to rally, managing to kill Ton at the top lane. But their comeback attempt was shortlived, as SG JoBunny and Relax’s tandem offense proved to be too much. Slowly but surely, PowerRangers crushed Team BlakPink, 18-2, in just 7:33.

The last match for this day is a Best of 3 Series between Myth Esports and SG TG. Myth Esports went for a high burst team composition in Xeniel, Ormarr, Tulen, The Joker, and Kriknak. On the other hand, SG TG picked a strong harass lineup in Arthur, Ryoma, Alice, Superman, and Preyta.
Both teams started the match roaming and trying to poke each other. SG TG got the first blood at 2:00 by picking off Ormarr near the middle tower. This allowed SG TG to storm Myth Esports’ Sage Golem and steal it to further hamper Kriknak’s jungling path.
At 3:21, Myth Esports took advantage of a clash at Abyssal Dragon, netting kills on Superman, Ryoma, and Preyta. This play enabled Myth Esports to secure Abyssal Dragon and have a slight gold advantage. Such is the story of this match – both teams were jockeying for position, looking for that one stop to engage their opponent.
A clash at the Abyssal Dragon at 6:14 saw SG TG successfully contest for the objective, but were at the receiving end of a 3-0 team kill; Nayeon’s Tulen game was in full form here, as he got another double kill for Myth Esports.
As the game progressed, Myth Esports’ carries began to spike in their power – whenever SG TG opted to bring the fight to Myth Esports, superb positioning and damage from Naeyon and Slapstick had SG TG retreating time and again. One particularly long team fight at 8:54 saw impeccable dodging and burst by Naeyon, which resulted in an ace for Myth Esports.
From here, Myth Esports never trailed, managed to get Dark Slayer and ultimately win Game 1, 22-9.

Game 2 saw Myth Esports trying to close the series in their favor. Meanwhile, SG TG hopes to bounce back and force a do-or-die Game 3. SG TG switched tactics, employing a heavy team-fight centered lineup with Maloch, Kriknak, Airi, Thane, and Lauriel. Myth Esports chose a similar composition as their previous game, with Smzo getting Zill since SG TG chose Kriknak.
Myth Esports began the game by defending their Sage Golem from SG TG’s invade. This proved to be favorable, as they got SG Mata early, getting first blood. This led to SG TG scrambling to figure out another strategy to put the hurt on Myth Esports. Excellent roaming and coordination gave Myth Esports the early Abyssal Dragon and the gold advantage.
At 2:59, Myth Esports’ Naeyon sniped SG Mata in the middle lane, further increasing his experience and gold advantage against SG TG. SG Skyrie tried to pick a fight near their Sage Golem, but the numbers game proved to be too much, as Myth Esports’ lead started to get away from them.
SG TG were focused on trimming the lead, with SG Skyrie destroying the top tower and also earning a solo kill on Naeyon at 6:00. But a clash at 6:40 saw Myth Esports put a stop to SG TG’s rally – Naeyon and Lomi bursted SG Cosmo and SG Champ. They continued to rotate mid, destroying the middle tower, stealing SG TG’s Sage Golem, and securing another Abyssal Dragon.
As the game transitioned to the middle stages, SG TG were on the defensive, while Myth Esports were imposing their will, getting map and objective control in the process. After securing Dark Slayer at 11:32, Myth Esports continued with the pressure, culminating in a team fight near SG TG’s middle high ground tower. Amid a valiant effort, SG TG falls to Myth Esports, winning and sweeping SG TG 2-0 with a 17-5 team kill score.
