Game Difficulty Guide for Bayonetta 3
Bayonetta 3 features various difficulty levels that affect the challenge offered in each chapter of the game’s main story. Unlike the first two titles in the series, game difficulty in Bayonetta 3 can be changed at any time during a mission by going into the game’s main menu.

Standard | A difficulty for those who enjoy thrilling battles. |
Expert | A difficulty for veterans of hardcore action looking to show of their skills. |
Infinite Climax (unlocked after beating the game). | Soul-shaking difficulty that offer the ultimate combat experience. |
Which Difficulty Should You Choose?
Play on Standard difficulty.
When playing through the game’s main story for the first time, it is generally recommended to select Standard difficulty. This is to give yourself an introduction to the level of combat the game offers at its default setting. From here, you can decide whether to lower or increase the difficulty based on how poorly or easily you are doing against enemies and bosses on Standard.
Infinite Climax (Non-Stop ∞ Climax) Difficulty
Infinite Climax (or Non-Stop ∞ Climax), the series’ hardest difficulty mode, is unlocked once you beat the game on any difficulty.
