Light fuses, burn through obstacles and toast your enemies with your fire attacks. Run, jump, and attack enemies to blast forward as a fireball.

Fire sparkling shots at enemies, and charge your weapon to aim and increase its damage.

King Dedede Boss Strategies

Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:

Observe attack patterns

Don’t engage the boss head-on. Take note of the attacks of the boss, including its attack pattern.

Take out the minions

Focus on clearing the two minions first before engaging the boss. Without the minions, it will be easier to move around the arena.

Avoid hammer attacks

In the early stages, the boss will use its hammer and attempt to hit you with it. Just keep moving until the boss stops. Then, hit it with your attacks.

Bait and take advantage of body slam attacks

In the same manner, the boss will do a body slam attack. When it approaches you, get away immediately using slide. It will be staggered for a while so you can take this opportunity to attack.

Evade stomp attacks

At 80% health, the boss will jump and slam the floor with its body.  Move sideways or fly to avoid getting hit by the shockwaves. Take note that the stomps attack thrice. Observe the shadow of the boss and move away from it.

Keep moving until it the boss becomes dizzy. This is an opportunity for you to attack

Do not get in range of the cracks

At 40% health, the boss will jump away, drop its mallet hammer, and pick up a pillar. It will slam the pillar to the ground and cracks will emerge. Afterwards, the cracks will glow and rocks will come out from the open as projectiles. You can run or fly to avoid getting hit.

Be wary of other Pillar-related attacks

At 20% health, the boss will unleash two additional attacks using the pillar. Let the Pillar attacks execute first before engaging the boss. Finish the boss will your copy ability attacks.
