Tropic Woods Boss Strategies

Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:

Observe attack patterns

Don’t engage the boss head-on. Take note of the attacks of the boss, including its attack pattern.

Move away from coconut bombs

Once you see coconut bombs dropping in the arena, move away to avoid getting damaged. If you don’t have an active copy ability, you can absorb and use it as a projectile to damage the boss. Make sure you do it swiftly.

Evade projectile breath attacks

In the early stages of the battle, the boss will hold its breath and attempt to hit you with single-target breath attacks. They are easy to evade when you are from a distance and not close.

Keep avoiding breath attacks

At 40% health, the boss will use area-based breath attacks. They are harder to read especially when you are close to the boss. Again, keep your distance or fly if needed.

Take note of vine attacks

In the same manner, the boss will unleash its vine attacks to hit you if you are at a distance. It is better to position yourself not too close and not too far from the boss.

Find an open spot of the steel fence

While you continuously engage the boss, it will summon a steel fence to block your hits. Find an open spot, which is on the opposite side of the fence, and deal your finishing blows.
