How to Parry

Before an enemy lands an attack, press the L1 button.

You can parry or block an enemy attack by pressing the L1 button at the right time shortly before the attack hits.

Parrying weakens the damage taken and causes Posture Damage to enemies.

Successfully parrying an attack will reduce the damage taken, and you will be in a position to inflict huge Posture Damage on the enemy.

In addition, a blue light effect will appear whenever a parry is successfully executed.

Perform Parry at the moment before an attack hits.

To perfectly parry an attack, press the L1 button before an attack hits you. However, enemies in the game have different attack animations and may require you to face them multiple times before you memorize their animation and attack pattern.

How to Break Enemy’s Posture

The enemy’s Posture can be reduced after it takes damage or by successfully parrying its attack.

To deplete the enemy’s Posture, you can either attack the enemy or parry its incoming attacks. Breaking enemies’ Posture leaves them in a staggered state, allowing you to deal massive damage. Note that each of your attacks deals a different amount of Posture damage.

Once an enemy’s Posture is whittled down, you can completely break it with the following actions:

• Heavy Attack (R2)
• Parry (L1)
• Kick (L1 + R1)

How to Do Grievous Strike

Once the enemy’s Posture is broken, press R1 button to perform the Grievous Strike.

In order to perform the Grievous Strike, you must first break the enemy’s Posture. Once it is broken, go near the enemy and press the R1 to unleash the Grievous Strike, dealing massive damage to the target or may even deliver the final blow.
