After clearing the main story of Lords of the Fallen 2 (2023) for the first time, New Game Plus (NG+) is unlocked. This mode allows you to replay the entirety of the game from the beginning with several elements and features of your previous run carried over.

How to Start NG+

Accessed via Vestiges.

After beating the game, interact with any Vestige and choose New Game +1 to begin your NG+ playthrough under Multiplayer.  Before starting your NG+, please read the “Thing to Do Before NG+” section at the last section of this guide.

NG+ Features and Gameplay Changes

Stronger enemies.

Enemies encountered on NG+ and subsequent playthroughs have enhanced health and damage output. Even regular enemies will be able to kill you in just a few hits if you do not dodge or block their attacks.

In turn, defeated foes (both regular enemies and bosses) will yield more Vigor upon defeat, making it much easier to farm the resource for leveling up or purchasing items from merchant NPCs.

Vestiges disappear (except the one at the main hub area).

As an added challenge, Vestiges will completely disappear apart from the one found at Skyrest Bridge. This means that you will need to rely on growing Vestige Seedlings at Umbral Flowerbeds using single-use Vestige Seeds to create checkpoints throughout each dungeon.

Because of this mechanic, dying in the Umbral Realm becomes extremely costly so you will want to have as many healing items in your inventory as possible. It is also recommended to constantly increase your Vitality to be able to tank more hits against the enhanced enemies found in NG+ simply for its more punishing difficulty.

Things to Do Before NG+ (Checklist)

Below is a checklist of what to do before starting your NG+ playthrough. It is recommended to accomplish all of the things listed below as it will take you a while until they become available again on your subsequent run.

• Farm Vigor in late game areas to level up and have enough money to buy all items from merchant NPCs.
• Soulflay all boss stigma if you have not done so already. This is especially important if you cleared the game on the Radiant ending where you need to defeat Adyr the Bereft Exile (ending route boss). Once you have beaten Adyr, fast travel to Vestige of Betrayed Eliard (Shrine of Adyr) at Fitzroy’s Gorge. Approach the throne and soulflay Adyr’s boss stigma to get his Remembrance (missable).
• Purchase all boss equipment that you can afford from Molhu using boss Remembrances.
• Purchase all items from merchant NPCs (including equipment, consumables, upgrade materials, and other rare items).
• Upgrade all equipment.

Lords of the Fallen 2 features three (3) different endings that are tied to specific trophies in the game. Once you have cleared the main story, try going for a different ending on NG+ and NG++ to unlock the remaining ending-specific achievements.
