The Umbral Realm is home to a vast number of mysteries as well as a variety of valuable items, and exploring its depths is definitely worth your time.
On that note, moths are a common indicator of secret doors and rooms in the Umbral Realm. These doors or passages can be opened through the use of the Umbral Lamp.

Entering the Umbral Realm
There are areas in the game that can be unlocked or accessed by exploring the Umbral Realm. If you get stuck and can’t figure out how to proceed, you might want to head into the Umbral Realm and look for answers.
- Select the Umbral Lamp by pressing the ↓ button.
- Press the L2 button to raise the Umbral Lamp.
About Umbral Rifting
In Lords of the Fallen 2, players have the ability to use the Umbral Lamp to perform a game feature known as Umbral Rifting, which allows them to instantly travel to the Umbral Realm at any time.
Staying in the Umbral Realm for too long may become dangerous.
The longer you remain in the Umbral Realm, the more you become known to its inhabitants. Thus, more dangerous enemies will come after you if you stay for too long.
About Memory Fragments
In the Umbral Realm, it is possible to encounter memories or past events that happened in the past on Axion, most of which ended in tragedy.
While navigating through the Umbral Realm, you have the ability to examine these memory fragments. Once in the presence of a memory fragment, press the R3 button, then select the Umbral Lamp and press the L2 + R2 buttons in order to get a glimpse of the memory.
Leaving the Umbral Realm
In order to leave the Umbral Realm, you must first locate an Emergence Effigy.
Once you find an Emergence Effigy, interact with it by pressing the X button, and doing this will allow you to leave the realm.
However, most of the Emergence Effigy can be found as you progress further into the Umbral Realm and may require you to solve some puzzles before you find one.
