Svyatogornyj South – Sokrovenno North Walkthrough for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (MGS3)
Ponizovje Warehouse

Be careful as the placement of enemy soldiers will change from time to time throughout the area.
After talking with Granin, return to Ponizovje South to get the Water Face Paint.
Svyatogornyj South – Svyatogornyj West
| 1 | Go west. |

| 2 | Turn right at the fork in the road at the end of the area and head towards Svyatogornyj East. |
There are no enemy soldiers in the south so feel free to proceed through the area.
There are 5 enemies and a trap along the western section. It is recommended to go left at the first fork to avoid them.
Food
- Vine Melon: Hanging on a southern vine,
- Amur Kazdu: Grows in the south (easier to spot with Thermal Goggles).
- Ezo Comfrey: Grows in the south (easier to spot with Thermal Goggles).
- Chinese Plantain: Grows in the south (easier to spot with Thermal Goggles).
- Slav Horehound: Grows in the south (easier to spot with Thermal Goggles).
- European Rabbit: Grass on the west and north sides of Svyatogornyj South.
- Baikal Scaly Tooth: By the root of the southern tree.
- Siberian Ink Cap: By the root of the southern tree.
- Spatsa: By the root of the southern tree.
- Ural Luminescent: By the root of the western tree.
Kerotan Location
- Kerotan #29: Above the warehouse entrance (south).
- Kerotan #30: On the cliff in the southwest of the area (west).
Svyatogornyj East
| 1 | Get the M63 inside the building. |

| 2 | Return to Svyatogornyj West and head to Sokrovenno South. |
There is no need to head to Svyatogornyj if you do not need the M63. If this is the case, just move on to Sokrovenno South.

The End Boss Guide
- If you run out of stamina during the battle, you will be taken to the prison in the Graniny Gorky Lab.
- If you save during the battle with The End and load it after the game console’s date has passed between 3 and 7 days, you will be imprisoned.
- If you save during the battle with The End and load it after the game console’s date has passed for 8 days or more, The End will die of old age.
- If you killed The End earlier outside the Ponizovje Warehouse, the Ocelot Unit will appear instead.
- The End’s initial location is fixed (he will always be at the south hill).
- If you hold up The End 3 times he will drop the Moss Camouflage Uniform.
Normal Strategy
After dealing enough damage to The End at his initial location, follow his footprints using the Thermal Goggles. Have The End shoot you on purpose and open the map to see his location. You can also use smoke grenades to conceal yourself during the fight.
No-Kill Strategy (Deplete Stamina)
While crouching, hit The End with the cigarette gas spray gun and hold him up. After The End drops the Moss Camo Uniform, hit him with gas spray gun again once. Then, put a stun grenade on The End’s body (shifting the perspective upwards).
Hit The End with the spray gun once again. When you run out of stun grenades, hit The End with a spray gun twice to knock him down. Afterwards, move ahead of The End on the road to the west and hit him with a spray gun again as he runs over.
Finish The End off. If you are unable to do so, The End will run away. Use Thermal Goggles to chase and deal the final blow.

Kerotan Location
- Kerotan #32: Behind the armory on the west side (Sokrovenno South).
- Kerotan #33: After moving from the area from the south to the north, go behind the tree along the right wall (Sokrovenno North).
- Kerotan #34: Downstream (end of the river).
