This page contains updates about the latest patch in Final Fantasy 15 / FFXV. The patch also includes the Assassin’s Creed Festival which is a crossover event between Square Enix and Ubisoft.

Version 1.4 Patch Now Available

Final Fantasy XV has finally received a new patch for the month of August. The patch addresses certain bugs that needed to be fixed, as well as some added new features. Here is the patch notes for Version 1.4:

Version 1.4 Patch Notes

  • Implementation of a chapter select (available after completion of the main game)
  • Addition of a bestiary (accessible from the Archives in the Main Menu)
  • Master Assassin’s Robes for players with a Dream Egg (unlocks upon loading a save)
  • Opening of the Assassin’s Festival (until January 31, 2018)
  • Announcement of winning snapshots from third photo contest (viewable at Mother of Pearl in Galdin Quay)
  • Various bug fixes

The chapter select feature has been requested by fans ever since they finished the game, and now that Square Enix has given this feature for fans, it will now be much more easier for players to replay their favorite scenes and battles from the game. The bestiary is also a good addition to the game as it makes hunting for monsters much easier since players can already track down the monsters that they have already slain.

The Assassin’s Creed Festival is a limited-time event where you can participate in several mini-games that are based on the world of Assassin’s Creed. You can also obtain the Medjay’s Assassin’s Robes by participating in these mini-games. The robes resemble the outfit that Assassins usually worn in the Ubisoft franchise, and the robes can be worn by all four members of the party.

Besides the Medjay robes, Noctis can also get the Master Assassin’s Robes from the Dream Egg, an item that can be obtained in the Moogle Chocobo Carnival which will end in September.

The Assassin’s Creed Festival will be available in Final Fantasy XV January 31, 2018.
