The 2DS XL features the iconic look of the Poke Ball at the front, with an embossed part at the center of the 2DS XL. The 2DS has a red color at the top while there is the white at the bottom which is separated with a black line and a button-like part at the center.

Although the 2DS XL has a rectangular body, no Pokemon fan can deny that the front of the device looks exactly like a Poke Ball minus the circular shape of the real Poke Ball.

Besides the Poke Ball New 2DS XL, Nintendo will also be releasing the Orange/White colorway of the device on October 6. This specific colorway is already released in Europe, but due to popular demand among North American fans, the colorway is releasing on North America as well.

In Japan, Nintendo is releasing a Pikachu-themed New 2DS XL which comes out alongside the Poke Ball New 2DS XL on November 17. The Pikachu 2DS XL features the face of Pikachu at the front with its nose embossed, and all of these artwork is finished with a brown border which represents a part of its tail. This 2DS XL comes with a special box which also features Pikachu’s face seen on the device. There is no confirmation yet if this edition is releasing in North America and Europe.

Although these 2DS XLs are releasing near Ultra Sun and Moon’s release which is on November 17, the devices does not come pre-installed with the upcoming game.
