Permanent Events in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Below is a list of all permanent events, unchangeable choices, and points-of-no-return in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (FF Origin). Be sure to consider the reminders listed below to avoid making major mistakes throughout your playthrough.

Dismantling Equipment Cannot be Undone.

Once you disassemble a piece of equipment (weapons and armor) at the Smithy, it will be lost forever. Because of this, be sure to select the gear you want to dismantle carefully to avoid destroying one that you actually use by accident.

How to Upgrade Equipment

Anima Shards Used on Job Classes Cannot be Reversed.

Be careful when using Anima Shards on job classes to gain EXP as you do not want to waste them on jobs that you actually use in battle. Save Anima Shards for jobs that you rarely use or are only leveling up to unlock advanced or master level jobs.

How to Farm Anima Shards

Job Points Cannot be Reallocated.

Job points used to unlock various skills and abilities unique to each job class cannot be reset once you have spent them. While you will eventually reach the job level cap (Level 30) to have enough points for unlocking all skills, you will want to focus on unlocking the most useful abilities as you progress through the game.

Instant Abilities are Lost Forever When You Die.

Instant Abilities that you acquire from blocking certain enemy attacks using Soul Shield are lost upon death. There is no way to recover them other than to “steal” the ability from the same enemy as you go through the dungeon.

How to Get Instant Abilities

MP Increase Gained from Soul Burst Disappears Upon Death.

The increased MP you get from using Soul Burst is also lost when you are killed. This is particularly disadvantageous against groups of enemies or bosses as you will not be able to use skills and magic more often with a smaller magic pool.
