Wuthering Waves Best Characters Tier List (Version 1.0)
Gameplay Summary
Calcharo is a high-damage main DPS character who focuses solely on offense. He relies on weaving his basic attacks with his Resonance Skill “Extermination Order” to build up “Cruelty” stacks which grants him a powerful heavy attack follow-up in “Mercy”. This is his main form of damage until he is able to activate his Resonance Liberation “Phantom Etching” where his offense will really begin to kick up.
Once Calcharo activates Phantom Etching, he enters the “Deathblade Gear” state, altering his basic attacks to massively boost his DPS which outclasses most other characters in the game.
Playing Calcharo consistently requires keen timing of his attacks as you need to find opportunities to weave in his Resonance Skill into his combos. Still, his core gameplay is not as complex as those of other DPS characters, making him a good choice for players across all skill levels.
Basic Strategy
Calcharo Basic Strategy |
---|
|
Weave your Resonance Skill into basic attacks.
Calcharo can chain together his basic attacks with his Resonance Skill Extermination Order and vice versa. His Resonance Skill can be stringed together 3 times, allowing you to gain 3 Cruelty stacks just by repeatedly using it. Once you have full Cruelty Stacks, you next heavy attack gains a powerful follow-up (Mercy).
After activating Resonance Liberation Phantom Etching, use basic attacks repeatedly.
Do not use your Resonance Skill as you will not gain Cruelty stacks while in the Deathblade Gear state after activating Phantom Etching. Mercy is automatically triggered as part of Calcharo enhanced basic attack strings so you do not need to build stacks while Deathblade Gear is active.
