Aim to get Jiyan when rerolling (best reroll character to get).

Overall, the best character to aim for when you intend to reroll is the limited ★5 character Jiyan.

Jiyan is currently the best main DPS character in the game who uses the broadblade weapon type. As an Aero attribute Resonator, Jiyan boasts incredible attack speed and damage output through combos which is further improved upon activating his Resonance Liberation skill “Emerald Storm: Prelude”.

Jiyan is obtained from the limited Character Event Convene (banner) “Prevail the Lasting Night” during its availability period. There is no announcement of when the event will run again in the future so prioritize getting Jiyan via rerolling at the start of the game.

Which Banners Should You Pull From?

Do 20 pulls from the “Prevail the Lasting Night” (Jiyan) Character Event Convene banner first.

When rerolling, it is recommended to pull immediately from the limited Character Event Convene banner “Prevail the Lasting Night” to see if you will be able to get Jiyan. Note that Jiyan is not available in any of the other banners such as the Novice Convene (“Utterance of Marvels”), Beginner’s Choice Convene, and Character Permanent Convene (Standard Banner).

Radiant Tides are required for pulling from the limited banners. You can also spend Astrite instead if you do not have enough of the resource.

Pull from the “Utterance of Marvels” Novice Convene banner next.

After pulling from the limited Jiyan banner (and deciding whether to reset the game or keep playing), start trying your luck from the “Utterance of Marvels” Novice Convene banner.

By claiming all the bonuses and gifts received from the mail, you will likely be able to do the 50 pulls required to get the guaranteed random ★5 character. Because of this, try to get Encore or Verina from the beginner banner as they are extremely strong characters.

As mentioned, Lustrous Tides are required for pulling from the non-limited banners. Astrite again can also be used as an alternative if you are short on the resource.

Exchange materials for Radiant Tides and Lustrous Tides.

If you still do not get the characters you want from even the Novice Convene banner, you can try exchanging Oscillated Coral for Radiant Tides and Lustrous Tides at the Convene shop. Oscillated Coral is rewarded as compensation for pulling from the various banners so feel free to use them as much as possible.

Is Rerolling Really Worth it?

Not recommended due to how tedious it is.

Rerolling in the game is generally not recommended because of how tedious it is due to the following reasons listed below.

• You need to create a new account with a different email each time you want to reroll (no clear data feature).
• The time it takes you to reach the Convene menu screen (gacha banner pull screen) takes about 20 to 30 minutes from the start of the main story.
• There is only a 0.8% chance of getting a 5-star from all banners outside of the hard pity.
• You are guaranteed to get a maximum of three (3) ★5 standard Resonator characters anyway (2 of your choice and 1 random) during the entire beginner banner events period.

As mentioned above, you will need to invest 20 to 30 minutes before you can reach the convene menu which is quite tiresome if you plan to reroll until you get lucky. Getting the best 5-star character and weapons will carry you a lot when starting the game, though you might not always be lucky. If you focus on rerolling too much, it will take you a while before you actually start playing the game.

Voucher of Reciprocal Tides

All players are guaranteed to get two (2) ★5 standard Resonators via the Novice Convene banner and using the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides. While the Novice Convene banner lets you obtain a ★5 Resonator at random, the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides lets you get any ★5 standard Resonator of your choice.

You may need to make a total of 130 pulls to get the guaranteed random ★5 character so it is recommended to start the game as you will get any ★5 standard Resonator you like anyway using the voucher.

If you get the characters and weapons you want, continue the game.

If you get a ★5 character via convene, stop rerolling and continue playing the game. If you are not satisfied with what you pulled, go log-out of the game and log-in with a different account to start form the beginning.

About ★4 Characters

While 5-star characters are almost always better than 4-stars, this is not always the case. All characters in the game get their value based on how well they perform their role in the 3-person team. Given different circumstances, it is possible for a 4-star character to outperform a 5-star. Because of this, do not overlook 4-star characters and try to see what each of them brings to the team.
