Pity Count and Price

Wuthering Waves (WuWa) - Jiyan Banner 1

In Wuthering Waves (WuWa), limited and non-limited character and weapon banners have 100% pity (guarantees a 5★ character or weapon) in at most 80 pulls. In terms of the price, you will need a total of 12,800 Astrites to reach 80 pulls which costs roughly around 160 USD from purchasing Lunites at the Convene shop.

Max pity costs around 160 USD.

As mentioned, you will need to spend roughly 160 USD to purchase 12,800 Astrite from the Convene shop via Lunites. Since it is very expensive to try and pull your target 5★ character or weapon this way, it is recommended to just grind Astrite by logging-in and playing everyday.

First Top-Up Bonus (One-Time Only)

Purchasing the Lunite x6,480 bundle for the first time allows you to get a bonus of another 6,480 Lunite (essentially giving you a total of 12,960 Lunite or double the amount for half the price). This is enough to get you from 0 to max pity in any one (1) banner in the game.

Pity is counted for each banner, not across all of your pulls.

Note that your pity is counted for each banner and not a cumulative value of all of your pulls. This means that you should focus on one banner only (either character or weapon) if you want to reach the max pity. Do not attempt to do, say, 40 pulls in a character banner and the other 40 in a weapon banner as you will not get max pity on either of them since the pity count is separate.

Does Pity Carry Over to the Next Banner?

Carried over to the next banner.

Pity count is carried over to the next banner when the current one ends. For example, if you do 70 pulls on the current banner and did not get any 5★ character or weapon, you are guaranteed to get a 5★ once the next banner begins.

Getting a 5★ character or weapon from the banner will reset the pity.

Pity is reset when you get a 5★ character or weapon from the banner. If you get a 5★ after 60 pulls, you will not be at max pity in 20 more pulls afterwards. To reach max pity again, you will need to pull another 80 times after getting a 5★.

Is There Soft Pity in the Game?

Not confirmed in the game.

It is currently unclear whether the rate of pulling a 5★ is increased by reaching certain pulls below the confirmed 80 pulls. Certain unverified sources have stated that soft pity takes effect after 50 to 60 pulls with varying values on the rate increase of getting a 5★ character or weapon. More information on this will be added when it is confirmed in the game.
