Gameplay Summary
Verina is perhaps the best support character in the current patch (version 1.0.2). With the use of her “Photosynthesis Energy” stacks, Verina is capable of healing allies by performing Heavy Attack: Starflower Blooms and Mid-air Attack: Starflower Blooms. Verina gains Photosynthesis Energy whenever her Basic Attack 5 and Resonance Skill Botany Experiment hit.
The ability to heal allies while inflicting damage is one of Verina’s notable traits, but these are not the only reasons why she is a top-tier support. Verina can also apply “Photosynthesis Mark” to targets by using her Resonance Liberation “Arboreal Flourish,” which enables her to perform coordinated attacks with other characters and gives the active character’s attacks the ability to heal.
Furthermore, Verina can also increase her allies’ All-Type DMG Deepen by 15% for 30 seconds with her Outro skill, “Blossom.” Once activated, Verina will heal the next or switched character by 19% of her ATK per second for 6 seconds. Because of these abilities, Verina can easily fit on any team and strengthen both the team’s survivability and damage output.
Basic Strategy
Verina Basic Strategy |
---|
|
Heal allies by using Heavy Attacks that consume Photosynthesis Energy.
Once Verina has gathered Photosynthesis Energy, her heavy attacks can heal her entire team. She is capable of holding up to 4 stacks of Photosynthesis Energy, with each stack being acquired by attacking a target. It’s advisable to accumulate Photosynthesis Energy stacks and consume them when your damage dealers are low on HP.
How to Get Photosynthesis Energy
- Photosynthesis Energy is obtained when Verina’s Basic Attack 5 (5th phase) lands on a target.
- Photosynthesis Energy is when Verina’s Resonance skill, “Botany Experiment,” lands on a target.
- Photosynthesis Energy is when Verina’s Intro Skill, “Verdant Growth,” lands on a target.
Verina’s Resonance Liberation allows her to heal and perform coordinated attacks.
Activating Verina’s Resonance Liberation, called “Arboreal Flourish,” will apply a mark to nearby enemies. This allows Verina to execute coordinated attacks alongside the active character when attacking marked targets.
Use Outro Skill “Blossom” to boost allies damage output.
Verina’s Outro Skill, when activated, grants healing effects and damage boosts on the switched character’s attacks. This will not only enable the switched character to recover HP while attacking a target, but also inflict more damage because of the damage boost from Verdant Growth. Take advantage of Verina’s Outro Skill, as this is one of the reasons that makes Verina a top-tier support character.

Additionally, it is advisable to equip an Echo with an ATK% main stat, preferably on a 1-cost Echo, to further increase Verina’s healing output.

Equip a weapon that increases Energy Regen or ATK.
For Verina, try to get weapons that increase Energy Regen or ATK. The best weapon for Verina depends on how you want to play her. If you want her to cast Resonance Liberation more frequently, equip weapons with Energy Regen. Otherwise, go for weapons that increase ATK to increase Verina’s healing output.
Equip a weapon that increases ATK.
Verina’s healing effect scales with her ATK, which means the higher her ATK, the higher she can restore the HP of the team. The best weapon for this is the 5-star rectifier, Cosmic Ripples, which you can get from the Standard Weapon Convene.
Best Verina Teams

Her prowess in boosting attack power, combined with the effects of Rejuvenating Glow, can significantly improve the main DPS’s damage output. Jiyan, a top-tier main DPS in the current patch, boasts insane damage-dealing attacks and skills in his arsenal, but with Verina and Aalto’s support, Jiyan can turn into a monstrous hyper-carry of the team.
