The first match of the day saw Kimochiii battle Hooligans in Round 4 of the Lower Bracket. Kimochiii’s lineup consisted of an engage and crowd control heavy team that included Maloch, Lumburr, Ryoma, Slimz, and Mganga. Meanwhile, Hooligans opted to draft a highly mobile and dueling team composition in Zephys, Alice, Tulen, Max, and Lu Bu.

Kimochiii employed an early jungle invade on Hooligans’ Sage Golem which netted them First Blood honors, as well as a triple kill for Cyriux’s Mganga. Following this, Kimochiii applied more lane pressure, with Off. trying to pick off inyerfeys in the middle lane, and secured the first Abyssal Dragon for the early game gold and experience lead. Anxiety then managed to tag Howl with his spear, resulting in a 4-2 lead for Kimochiii and further momentum.

At just 4:38, Kimochiii’s team composition proved to better, as they began to roll and blitz Hooligans with their crowd control and burst damage, leading to a commanding 11-2 lead. Kimochiii decimates Hooligans handily, 21-3, at just below 11 minutes of play.

Match 2 in yesterday’s schedule pitted PowerPuffBoys – Nova PH against ZodiaC. PowerPuffBoys chose a predominantly duelist and harass lineup in Alice, Xeniel, Kriknak, Raz, and Lu Bu, while ZodiaC opted for a more team fight-oriented composition in Maloch, Zephys, Lauriel, Chaugnar, and Airi.

Both teams started out conservatively, opting to stay in their lanes and duke it out with their adversaries. First Blood goes to PowerPuffBoys when Baby Wafu and PL Tupe ganked zC∆no돼지 in the Abyssal Dragon lane at 1:22. PowerPuffBoys then proceeded to secure the first Abyssal Dragon at 2:15, and managed to pick off zCrit and WildNFree for a 3-0 team score lead.

As the game progressed, PowerPuffBoys’ strategy has seemingly worked out well – they were persistent in fishing for single target kills and ganks, often backing off when ZodiaC started to muster and engage for team fights. However, at 5:18, ZodiaC managed to get the jump on PowerPuffBoys, winning a 4-man clash and a much needed stop to tie the team score.

ZodiaC was on the verge of mounting a comeback at times, but PowerPuffBoys were still tenacious and utilized their early team lead to push the lanes and keep ZodiaC from rallying for clashes. While ZodiaC put up a valiant effort, ultimately, PowerPuffBoys’ tenacity proved to be the winning factor, as they managed to whittle down and eventually destroy ZodiaC’s high ground towers on their way to a 20-10 win.

Winner: PowerPuffBoys – NovaPH
MVP: PL Tupe (Kriknak, 7-0-11, 17.9 MVP)

The third match was between Zero Gravity and Enemy E-Sports Electric. Zero Gravity’s team composed of a mixed bag of front liners and burst damage in the form of Arduin, Arthur, Airi, Lauriel, and Zephys. Enemy E-Sports also opted for a team that does well in team fights by choosing Kil’Groth, Maloch, Jinnar, Mina, and Lindis.

Enemy E-Sports went for a successful Sage and Might Golem invade, resulting in First Blood and stolen buffs. The masterful play had Zero Gravity’s Airi scrambling hard to bounce back and get gold and experience. At 2:00, Enemy E-Sports began to roam and secured an early Abyssal Dragon, much to the chagrin of Zero Gravity, and by 3:13, Zero Gravity was looking at a 5-1 deficit.

Enemy E-Sports’ roaming continued throughout the game – 4-man ganks were commonplace, with Zero Gravity having no response to combat Enemy E-Sports’ dominance. At 6:43, Zero Gravity had all their first and second towers razed, and were trying to defend their base and weather Enemy E-Sports’ 12-3 team score. However, Enemy E-Sports Electric proved to be the better team, asserting their will against Zero Gravity for an impressive victory by 7:37.

ᵀˢ Ðαякѕнα∂σω – Zephys SG JoBunny – Preyta

The fourth and final match saw Saiyan.Paranoia duke it out with PowerRangers. Saiyan.Paranoia chose two of the newest heroes to hit the Valiant Server, Max and Teemee, to their team along with Maloch, Zephys, and Tulen. On the other hand, PowerRangers ran a Kil’Groth-centric composition that has Xeniel, Alice, Lindis, and Preyta providing the supplementary burst damage and support.

Saiyan.Paranoia began the game by invading PowerRangers’ Might Golem in the hopes of stalling SG Relax’ jungling and roaming pressure. This led to SG Relax stealing Saiyan.Paranoia’s Might Golem, which allowed him to continue his jungling path.

For the most of the early game, both teams were cautious, farming gold in their respective lanes, poking through the enemy jungle, and responding to contest for early objectives such as the Spirit Sentinel. The first clash happened at 2:45, which saw SG Relax getting First Blood by killing Max. This was then followed by two more kills for PowerRangers, resulting to a 3-0 lead.

PowerRangers used the early game momentum in earnest, securing an Abyssal Dragon, the Dark Slayer Lane tower, and a riding a comfortable 5-0 lead just before the 5 minute mark. They also took advantage of picking off an out-of-position Nightstalker at 5:44 to further press the in-lane pressure. Saiyan.Paranoia tried to get some stops, but PowerRangers maintained their composure, keeping their Alice close to Lindis and Preyta to avoid being blitzed.

At the end of the day, PowerRangers’ excellent rotations and timely singling out of Saiyan.Paranoia’s heroes were the main factors that led them to their impressive showing and getting the big win, 16-4.

Winner: PowerRangers
MVP: SG Relax (Lindis, 10-0-4 KDA; 16.1 MVP)
