All Black Box Locations and Rewards in Horizon Forbidden West
Black Boxes are a type of collectible in Horizon Forbidden West that you can find inside aircraft wreckages scattered all throughout the open world. As their name suggests, Black Boxes are time capsules containing data on the last flight of each aircraft before they crashed. There are a total of 12 Black Boxes to find in the game.
Rewards
Black Boxes can be given to Untalla at the Memorial Grove to obtain rare crafting materials. Note that it is still possible to trade in Black Boxes with Untalla even after you have cleared the main story.
Wings of Ten Blastsling
Upon delivering all 12 Black Boxes to Untalla, she will give you the Legendary Blastling Wings of Ten. It is among the best ranged weapons to get in the game, possessing massive Critical Hit bonuses in addition to dealing high explosive damage to targets.

| 2 | Whitewatch Peaks | Approach the Whitewatch Peaks from the east and scale the mountain by moving along the ledges. Eventually, you will come to a spot with many debris. The Black Box is found under the debris so use the Pullcaster to clear the area. |
| 3 | Jagged Deep | Swim to the western section of the Jagged Deep to find the submerged wreckage of an aircraft. Pry the door of the aircraft to go inside to find the Black Box. |
| 4 | Bleeding Mark | Go up the aircraft wreckage by latching on to the grapple point. Then, pry the door open to find the Black Box. |
| 5 | Memorial Grove | Go up to the aircraft wreckage on the hill. Afterwards, make your way to the rear of the aircraft by jumping and latching onto the grapple point. Pry open the door to get the Black Box. |

| 7 | Promontory | The locked door can be opened by grabbing the energy cell to the right of the door (near the wreckage). Carry it to the door and insert it to the generator to open the door.
Destroy the machine flower using the Vince Cutter and install module. Afterwards, check the back of the vines to find the Black Box. |
| 8 | Stillsands | Use the Vine Cutter to destroy the machine flower at the entrance of the wreckage. Then, go inside. The Black Box is under the box that you can move away. |
| 9 | Raintrace | Use the Vine Cutter on the machine flower near the aircraft wreckage. Then, pick up the nearby energy cell by the vines of one of the down aircraft and carry it to the locked door. Open the door using the energy cell and get the Black Box inside. |
| 10 | Bonewhite Tear | Climb the east side of mountain to reach the campfire. Afterwards, pick up the energy cell nearby and use it on the generator to open the door with the Black Box inside. |
| 11 | Stand of the Sentinels | Climb up to the aircraft wreckage on top of the mountain by approaching it from the east. Jump across to the wreckage and move the crate along the way to get the Black Box. |
