How to Fast Travel in Horizon Forbidden West
The world of Horizon Forbidden West is massive with numerous locations to explore throughout the game’s main story. Aloy can travel across the fast open world on foot, while mounted on overridden machines, or by fast traveling. The third method, in particular, is useful for going to campfires and settlements that you have visited before in an instant.
Traveling to Campfires and Settlements Does Not Require Fast Travel Packs
In Horizon Forbidden West, you can fast travel to various campfires and settlements you have discovered without using up any Fast Travel Packs. Other than these areas, you will need the consumable if you want to instantly arrive at your chosen destination.
Fast Travel Pack
A single-use utility item called a Fast Travel Pack is required to immediately move to a visited location. This can be bought from various merchants found in the game or crafted using materials.

Useful Tips for Fast Traveling
You cannot Fast Travel while falling or using the zipline.
Fast travel is not possible when you are falling from a height or moving through ziplines in the game. Make sure you are on steady ground before attempting to fast travel.
You cannot Fast Travel to visited locations that will trigger story events.
Visited locations that will trigger cutscenes or other new events cannot be fast-travelled to. This is likely to maintain the intended course of story events in these areas which often require you to fight through enemies.
