Sunwing is a flying machine that you can acquire as a mount during Horizon Forbidden West‘s main story. As the only airborne rideable machine, Sunwing allows you to travel the fastest out of all the mounts in the game.
Only Available After Clearing The Wings of Ten Main Story Quest
Unlike most machine mounts in the game which must be overridden and tamed to make them rideable, Sunwing is obtained as part of the game’s story.
To get the flying mount Sunwing, you must progress well into the late game until you reach the 16th main story quest The Wings of Ten. The mission essentially requires you to defeat Regalla and choose to spare or kill her. During the quest, you will be able to summon and mount a Sunwing and use it to fly across the vast locations of the Forbidden West.
