Useful Information

Changing the Game Difficulty

The game is automatically set to Normal mode once you start a new game. This can be changed by pressing the directional pad while outside of combat after you have unlocked the other difficulty modes during the main story. Your level can also be lowered which increases the drop rate of pins from Noise enemies at the cost of lowering your party’s HP.

How to Unlock Hard and Ultimate Difficulty

Farming Rare Pins

For farming rare pins (including Uber Pins), it is recommended to set the game to Hard or Ultimate. Note that some of the rarest pins can only be obtained on the higher difficulty modes as well. For better chances of obtaining the best pins, you can also set your team’s level to the lowest possible, granted that you can still efficiently defeat foes despite the penalty applied to your party’s HP.

  1. Already unlocked easy and hard in the social network, but pressing the touchpad doesn’t do anything. Not sure why, maybe unlocking different difficulty setting isn’t just unlocking it on the social network? Because I’ve already unlocked easy and hard in the social network and pressing the touchpad isn’t doing anything.
