Hooktail Boss Strategies
Prior the boss fight, equip an Attack FX R badge. This badge is acquired within the Hooktail Castle and will help reduce Attack and Defense stats of Hooktail. If you hit the boss up to 4 times, the Attack stats of the boss will be reduced to 1 Attack.
Hooktail has multiple moves such as Fire Breath, Stomp, and Chomp. Fire Breath is the most lethal of the three boss moves. Having Koops as your party member is essence since he has 1 Defense. Make use of Power moves to damage the boss significantly.
When Hooktail’s HP is depleted, it will stop from attacking and trick you with three questions.

A correct response will make the boss recover 10 HP. If you pick a wrong response, you will take 5 damage despite the debuffs on attack power.
