Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon Story
“A mysterious new substance was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. As an energy source, this substance was expected to dramatically advance humanity’s technological and communication capabilities. Instead, it caused a catastrophe that submerged the planet and surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming a Burning Star System.
Almost half a century later, the same substance has resurfaced on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and sealed-off as a result of the catastrophe.
Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups fight for control of the substance. The player infiltrates Rubicon as an independent mercenary and finds themself in a struggle over the substance with the corporations and other factions.”
What is Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon?
The 16th installment to the long-running Armored Core mecha action game franchise.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is the 16th entry in the Armored Cores series of mecha action games developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. This is the first Armored Core title to be released 20 years after the previous game, Armored Core: Verdict Day, which came out in 2013 for the Playstation 3 (PS3).
AC Customization (Garage)
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon brings back the franchise’s fast-paced combat using customizable mechs called ACs. Each part of the player’s AC can be swapped out with a multitude of options for their machine’s head, core (body), legs, boosters, and generator in the AC garage to suit all types of build preferences.
AC Weapons
In terms of armaments, players can equip their AC with several held weapons such as rifles, machine guns, and grenade launchers. Close-range laser blade weapons can also be attached to accommodate melee combat.
Players can also a maximum of two types of shoulder weapons on their mech. These parts range from a variety of missile launchers, cannons, gatling guns, rail guns, and even external radar attachments to improve enemy detection in a map.
