Is Human Plus in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon?

Confirmed in the game as “Augmented Human.”

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon - Augmented Human (Human Plus)

The Human Plus feature (or REBEL mode) has been confirmed to make a return in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon (AC6/Armored Core VI) as a player status called “Augmented Human.” The player character themselves is depicted in various trailers of the game’s story as an Augmented Human, which may likely give them enhanced abilities and special AC customization options not available to regular AC pilots.

Sulla, one of the game’s protagonists, also shares the status with the player character (Sulla himself being a first-generation Augmented Human).

May become available after progressing through the main story missions or other game modes.

It is currently unknown whether the Augmented Human status will allow players to immediately take advantage of the benefits afforded by it such as being able to ignore AC weight restrictions, gaining faster energy recovery, and being able to fire heavy back weapons in the air at the start of the game. These abilities might also only be unlocked by progressing through the main story or certain optional content.

More information on the Human Plus feature in Armored Core 6 will be added when it is confirmed in the game.

What is Human Plus?

Human Plus is a special player status in past Armored Core games that grants players a number of special abilities, AC customization options, and features that vastly improve their performance in battle or grant them more freedom when assembling their AC. Below is a list of advantages that Human Plus Ravens seen in previous games in the series.

  • Grants radar function even without any back-mounter radar units or head units with built-in radar support.
  • Grants faster energy recovery and halves radar consumption when using boosters or energy weapons.
  • Grants the ability to fire certain back-mounted weapons without kneeling or being stationary (this allows players to fire powerful back weapon units like grenade launchers or laser cannons while moving or in the air).
  • Grants the ability to fire a powerful exploding blade wave when using laser blades.
  • Removes overweight AC limitation (allows the player to sortie regardless of whether or not the equipped AC legs can support all other AC parts and weapons).

Popularly known as “Easy Mode” in the Armored Core Series.

Because of the significant advantages Human Plus players have over regular pilots, many Armored Core fans have deemed the status to be the game’s “Easy Mode.” This may also hold true if unlocked in Armored Core 6.
