How to Beat Ayre

Move in circles to avoid getting hit

Moving in circles is one of the best ways to avoid getting hit by Ayre’s mid-range attacks. However, some attacks cannot be evaded by just moving sideways. In that case, use the Quick Boost to evade some of the boss’ complex attacks.

Use Quick Boost sideways to dodge the missiles

Red missiles, one of the weapons in Ayre’s arsenal, have high speed and cannot be dodged with simple movements alone.

Although, by using the Quick Boost sideways, you can dodge the missiles heading towards you.

Use Quick Boost to dodge Ayre’s melee attack

After a series of mid-range attacks (missiles and beams), Ayre will launch a melee attack that you can dodge if you use your Quick Boost forward. Dodging this attack will also leave Ayre’s back wide open, allowing you to launch a counterattack.

Jump into the air to dodge Ayre’s Rush attack

When Ayre performs a huge backward jump, it indicates the start of a rush attack.

This attack won’t hit you if you jump into the air and hover until the attack ends.

Quick Boost sideways twice to dodge Ayre’s Aerial attack

If Ayre suddenly jumps into the air while performing multiple boosts, it indicates the start of an aerial attack.

The beams from Ayre’s attacks will generate a large explosion, and one Quick Boost is not enough to dodge this attack. You have to perform the Quick Boost twice in order to dodge the aerial attack.

Furthermore, Ayre may still continue to shoot beams at you, so keep your guard up until the boss descends to the ground.

Dodge Ayre’s Sweep attack

A lethal wide-range attack that can be avoided by jumping into the air or dashing behind Ayre.

However, jumping into the air is less dangerous and most likely the safer option.

Don’t miss the chance to counterattack

Ayre will have a short pause before launching a melee attack, allowing you to dodge and counterattack. Use a weapon that has a high-power attack or a weapon that can stagger an enemy.

Aim for big damage while Ayre is staggered

Inflict as much damage as you can while Ayre is staggered. Use your strongest weapon to deal massive damage.

However, since Ayre has a short recovery period, it is not advisable for you to use a charged attack. Settle for a weapon with the most damage in your arsenal.

How to Beat Ayre (Second Form)

Drop Ayre’s AP to 50% or less

Ayre will enter an enhanced state when her AP drops to 50% or less.

In this state, Ayre’s attack pattern will get faster and more lethal.

At this point forward, you will need to be more cautious and quicker.

Keep moving in circles

Even though Ayre has been enhanced, moving in circles is still effective for dodging her attacks.

This also allows you to learn Ayre’s new attack patterns. However, some attacks cannot be dodged by simply moving sideways, so be prepared to use Quick Boost if you sense that you are about to get hit.

In conclusion, our previous strategy still works against Ayre’s second form.

Dodge Ayre’s alter image attacks

Ayre, in her second form, has the ability to create alter images that will attack you consecutively.

This attack is difficult to dodge on the ground, so jump into air and wait for them to finish the attack.

Dodge Ayre’s beam attack

You can easily dodge Ayre’s beam attack by boosting sideways. After successfully dodging, you can use a mid-range weapon to counterattack.

Counterattack after Ayre and her alter images launched a melee attack

Just like Ayre’s melee attack in her normal form, she will have a short pause before slashing towards you. Use the short pause to dodge the attack.

To dodge Ayre’s melee attack, use Quick Boost forward to get around her, and for the alter images’ attacks, use Quick Boost backwards to gain some distance before attacking Ayre with a mid-range weapon.
