How to Get S Rank Guide for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon

The amount of credits (income) you get at the end of the mission usually determines your rank.

Getting an S Rank at the end of each mission in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon (AC6/Armored Core VI) usually requires you to accumulate the highest possible amount of credits (COAM) after all expenses (damage suffered by your AC, ammo used, etc.) have been subtracted from your earnings.

There are, however, exceptions to this rule. If you find that you still cannot get an S Rank despite lowering AC damage and ammo used on the sortie, you may need to hunt down special enemies with Combat Logs on them. More information on this is described in the Tips section below.

Below are ways to earn an S Rank during missions in Armored Core 6.

Tips to Get S Ranks

Clear the mission as fast as possible.

How long you take to clear the mission will greatly affect your rank. The quicker you check off all objectives during the level, the better your income and rating will be at the results screen.

Minimize AC damage.

The lower the damage your AC incurs upon completing a mission, the less amount of credits will be subtracted from your reward. If you want to collect as much money as possible and get an S Rank, try to avoid getting hit by enemies.

Minimize ammo consumption.

Credits are also taken from your accumulated income based on how much ammo you used up during your sortie. Because of this, you will want to make all of your shots count in battle to avoid any unnecessary costs once you complete the mission.

Clear optional objectives or meet special conditions.

You will notice that certain mission descriptions will sometimes give information on special conditions that, if met, will earn you bonus income. Clearing these additional tasks will also count toward getting an S Rank at the end of the mission.

Defeat specific enemies with Combat Logs.

Some missions can only be S ranked if you find and take down specific enemies holding Combat Logs. These can be easy to miss, especially if you are trying to keep ammo use to a minimum or are trying to run the missions in the shortest time possible.

Avoid restarting at checkpoints (continuing after dying).

You will immediately get locked out of getting an S rank if you die and restart the mission from the checkpoint. Just redo the mission from the beginning if you fail it instead of continuing from the last checkpoint.

What is S Rank?

S Rank is the highest possible score that you can get after clearing a mission in Armored Core 6. The difficulty of getting S Ranks varies greatly from mission to mission based on the type of enemies encountered and how hard it is to meet certain optional objectives in each level.

Required to Unlock The Perfect Mercenary Achievement (Gold Trophy)

Players who are aiming to get 100% completion (Platinum trophy) will need to unlock The Perfect Mercenary achievement (Gold trophy). Doing so requires you to S-Rank all main missions in the game (including those exclusive to specific ending routes) which is no small feat itself.
