How to Ignore Overweight Status Guide for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon
This page is currently undergoing updates.
Install Weight Control OS Tuning upgrade.
To ignore your AC’s overweight status in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon (AC6/Armored Core VI), you can install the Weight Control OS Tuning upgrade under System Unlocks. Note that this enhancement requires 3 OST Chips to unlock and becomes available as you progress through the game’s main story missions.
Equipping your AC with the Weight Control OS also grants you the ability to manually discard weapons. Doing so allows your machine to move faster in battle.

What is Overweight status in Armored Core 6?
State that prevents your AC from sorteing.
Overweight is the state that prevents you from sortieing or undertaking missions due to your AC’s upper body limit exceeding the load limit stat of your equipped leg part.
Matching the total weight of the parts and weapons you attach on your machine with a leg unit that can support them has been a staple mechanic in most Armored Core games. Despite this, there have been several ways to go around the Overweight status, both normally (via swapping out parts to stay within the leg’s load limit) or through special methods (as with the Human Plus or Rebel status in past titles).
