Gold Farming Guide for Diablo 4
Sell weapons and armor to earn gold (money).
A quick way to earn gold (money) is to sell weapons and armor to merchants.
It is, however, recommended to salvage weapons and armor while going through the main story campaign as you will not need gold as much outside the post-game stages.
Once you have beaten the game’s main story, you will need to spend gold to unlock storage boxes (hidden items), Aspects, Gems, and avail of other useful items and services.
Do not sell Legendary and Unique Gear.
Do not sell any Legendary or Unique equipment as these are extremely difficult to obtain.
Try salvage the same equipment and obtain rare materials for upgrading.
Rare upgrade materials are required for Aspects or enhancing weapons and armor.

How to Farm Gold
Whispers of the Dead Quest Runs
It is recommended to run the Whispers of the Dead priority quest dungeons (marked by the Tree of Whispers) which allow you to earn 10 Grim Favors for clearing.
You can then sell unwanted equipment and rewards obtained from these dungeons.
You can also earn a good amount of EXP from the Tree of Whispers events, allowing you to farm gold and level up fast at the same time.
Nightmare Sigils can also be obtained from the Tree of Whispers which let you run Nightmare Dungeons for farming Legendary gear as well.
Defeat World Bosses.
You can also get a large amount of gold by taking down World Bosses. Defeating these powerful enemies also rewards you with Legendary equipment and lots of EXP.
Defeating a World Boss guarantees Legendary gear to drop.
You can farm Legendary equipment fast from treasure chests that can be obtained as weekly rewards (guaranteed drop).
