How to Unlock the Mounts
Complete Mount: Donan’s Favor Quest
To unlock the Mounts in Diablo 4, you must complete the Mount: Donan’s Favor quest, which can be accessed at the beginning of Act IV.
Speak with Oskar in Kyovashad near the city gate, southwest of the city entrance.
After the conversation, you will receive a horse and finally be able to mount one. Horses can be equipped and customized by interacting with Stable Masters.
Mount Functions
Movement Speed increases while riding a horse
Mounts are probably the fastest way to travel in the Sanctuary. Riding a horse increases your movement speed, but you can increase it further by pressing R2 on the PS Controller or Space Bar if you are playing on PC.
Beware of the Fear Gauge
Aside from the boost gauge, horses also have a fear gauge.
When enemies are nearby, the orange gauge near the boost gauge will gradually increase.
If this gauge reaches its maximum, you will be forcibly dismounted from your horse.
