About the Guardian Shield
The Guardian Shield is arguably the best and most reliable shield in the game, especially for boss duels. It is essentially Kratos’ old shield from the previous game. Veterans will feel right at home with its parry skill which is still satisfying and highly advantageous when pulled off in the thick of battle.

The Stone Wall Shield shines in crowd control by allowing Kratos to unleash a shockwave when surrounded by hordes of enemies. This shield makes it easier to manage mobs, especially during high difficulty Trials of Muspelheim runs where you are almost always outnumbered by powerful foes.

About the Onslaught Shield
The Onslaught Shield is a bit of an odd pick that grants Kratos both defense and mobility. Its Shield Rush skill basically lets you safely close the distance with the shield up. This is best used when trying to approach enemies from afar as the momentum you gain from running lets you launch the target into the air.
