The experience you gain from playing on the default setting will allow you to more easily transition to harder modes as well. If you only intend to play the game to enjoy the story, choose Give Me A Story.

Difficulty-related Achievements

No trophies and achievements unlocked for beating the game on different difficulty modes.

There are currently no trophies and achievements unlocked for playing through the main story on different difficulty modes. In fact, it is possible to obtain 100% completion (Platinum trophy) by simply playing on the lowest difficulty setting (Give Me a Story).
