What is the Mystical Heirloom?

The Mystical Heirloom is a Relic in God of War Ragnarok (GoW Ragnarok) that is used to awaken the Sleeping Troll Statues found throughout the different realms. Equipping the Relic allows you to challenge them in combat to obtain Slumbering Stones, a rare type of crafting material needed to forge the secret Steinbjorn Armor Set.

Steps to Get the Mystical Heirloom

Reach Main Quest 10: Forging Destiny to get the Draupnir Spear.

To obtain the Mystical Heirloom, you will need the Draupnir Spear, a weapon that Kratos only acquires upon reaching Main Quest 10: Forging Destiny. You will not be able to get the Mystical Heirloom prior to progressing to this section of the game.

Travel to The Lost Treasury (Midgard)

After getting the spear, head to The Lost Treasury just southwest of Tyr’s Temple in Midgard. Once you enter the area, look around the perimeter to find a large ice crag with gold-colored wind blowing out of it. Then, use the Draupnir Spear to hit the spot where the wind is rushing out to destroy the crag.

Once the ice crag is destroyed, head for the hidden area behind it to find the Mystical Heirloom relic on the ground.

Once you have obtained the Relic, you can begin hunting down the Sleeping Trolls by locating their statues in The Derelict Outpost (Midgard), The Forbidden Sands (Alfheim), and Naotun’s Garden (Vanaheim). Each Troll will drop a Slumbering Stone upon defeat, allowing you to craft pieces of the Steinbjorn Armor Set from the forge.
