How Long Does it Take to Beat God of War Ragnarok’s Main Story?

God of War Ragnarok (GoW Ragnarok) will take around 40 hours to beat, according to an article published on Insider Gaming. The main story alone takes up about half of this reported length with 16 hours of actual gameplay and 3 hours that consist of cutscenes. Optional side quests, meanwhile, amount to 20 hours of the remaining estimated duration.
The Insider Gaming article, however, also mentions that the length of the upcoming title may greatly vary depending on playstyles so those going through the game may end up beating it in a shorter or longer amount of time.
