Beginner’s Guide for Persona 5 Tactica
Utilize cover.
Before attacking, you can move your character freely within their movement range. Try to end your turn by taking cover behind a wall to go into a guard state. Otherwise, you will be in a defenseless against incoming attacks so be careful.
Use different attacks depending on the situation.
There are three types of attack methods: gun attacks that hit enemies at long range, melee attacks that knock away enemies, and skill attacks using Personas. Try to use different methods to damage foes depending on the situation.
Knock an enemy down and activate “1 MORE.”
If you successfully knock down an enemy, 1 MORE will be activated which allows you to take another turn or action. Keep in mind, though, that enemies in the game can use “Cover” which can be disabled by attacking them using character skills and melee attacks.

Surround downed enemies and aim for “Triple Threat” attacks.
Surround downed enemies to activate special Triple Threat attacks. This unique game mechanic requires three characters to form a triangle in the area. Afterwards, the trio will be able to perform a powerful team attack that deals huge damage to enemies within the triangle’s perimeter.

Accumulate “VOLTAGE” and activate “Unique Skills.”
The Voltage gauge increases whenever you deal damage or when an enemy lands a hit on a party member. Once the gauge reaches the maximum charge, you can activate a character-specific ability called a Unique Skill.

Difficulty can be changed any time.
There are a total of 5 difficulty levels and you can change them any time from the MENU screen. If you are not good at battles, you may want to change to “SAFE” or “EASY”, while if you want to challenge a higher level of difficulty, you may want to change to “HARD” or “MERCILESS”

Remove Guard Status & Give Bad Status with Skills
When you attack with skills, you can remove the enemy’s guard status and you can also give different bad statuses depending on your attribute. Make good use of your skills to gain an advantage by giving bad status or removing enemy’s guard to connect your attack to 1 MORE.
Controlled Characters can be Changed Any Time
Before taking action, you can freely switch between the three members in your party. Each character has different strengths, such as movement distance and shooting performance, so switch your character depending on the battle situation.
Aim for great damage by knocking down enemies from high ground and using “Follow-Up Attacks”
There are height differences in the field and those who are in higher ground will have an advantage in the battle. If the enemy has the higher ground, you can knock the enemy down with a melee attack and if there are other allies in the area where the enemy fall, you can deal even more damage with a “Follow-Up” attack and after that 1MORE will be activated too, so try to aim for this if possible.

Utilize Stage Element
There are various stage gimmicks, such as a “Surveillance Camera” that summons additional enemies when you enter the colored range, an “Elevator” that moves up and down when you press the switch, a “Dash Square” that allows you to jump from high place to another high place and an “Explosive Barrels” that will explode when a certain amount of damage is received.

End the turn without taking any action to enter “charged” state
Whenever a character ends a turn without deciding an action, they will enter a “Charged” state which means on their next turn, their attack will be more effective against the enemies. The effects of charging varies and it depends on the party member Each character has their own unique charge action on enemies.
