Chapter 1 Walkthrough Strategy

Explore the Adamas.

Talk to Captain Lasal. Then, go through the tutorial on attacking and locking-on.

Next, go through the tutorial on guarding and evading. You can also time your guard with the enemy’s attack to do a Just Guard.

The battle ends when the enemy’s HP is reduced to 50%.

Explore Karnack.

Talk to people and leave the bar (follow the event markers to progress through main story objectives).

Story events will occur in three locations around the city.

Events Around Karnack

• Bluebeard Merchant (Romes)
• Bulletin Board (Karnack pirate headquarters, Glenn)
• Port District

Look for the source of the voice.

Head to the beach in front of the pirate headquarters. Then, Pick up the Lila Shell.

Defeat the with Grieger (Wolf).

Examine the wolf.

Skills become available when you examine the wolf. Equip the Raid Slash skill.

Battle the Grieger (Wolf) again.

Go to the pirate headquarters.

An event will occur where you will receive a letter after trying to leave the inn bar.

Meet the person waiting on the beach.

Head to the beach in front of the pirate headquarters. Then, go through the tutorial on Power Attacks.

The female leader’s Power Attack cannot be blocked or evaded, so just stay away from her when she prepares the attack. The battle ends when you reduce the female leader’s HP to half.

Go through the tutorial battle on Combi Mode against the Griegers (Wolf).

Activate Combi Mode by holding down the L2 or ZR button. After the battle, Karja will join your party.

Go to Balta Navy Command Center.

Go to Balta Naval Command Center in the port district.

Leave the Command Center.

An event will occur when you leave the Command Center.

Go to the clinic.

Enter the clinic for an event.

Go to the pirate headquarters.

Head to the pirate headquarters.

Explore Hagen Road.

From the west side of the city, head towards Hagen Road. An event will occur as you travel further down the road.

You will also obtain Heal Potion x1 here.

Help the townspeople.

A little further through the main story, you will go through a tutorial battle on countering Power Attacks with a Combination Guard.

Help 3 groups of residents on Hagen Road.

Residents Requiring Rescue on Hagen Road

• Bluebeard Merchants (Romes, Cruz)
• Well-Dressed lady (Millet)
• Purple-Haired Boy (Leif, Ashley)

Go to the lighthouse.

Head to Pharos Lighthouse and go through the tutorial on durability.

From here on, strong enemies will appear whose HP cannot be reduced unless you completely deplete their durability gauge

Clear the underground cave beneath the lighthouse.

Head to the cave beneath the lighthouse.

You can switch between Adol and Karja with the □ or Y button.

When you run out of skill usage, have Adol and Karja take turns until you can use them again.

Get Nornir’s Spinning Wheel from the red treasure chest.

From here, you will be able to use Mana String (Mana Action) by pressing the L2 or ZL button. This can be done in and out of battle.

Proceed deeper into the cave while using Mana String.

Boss Battle: Ambodaizer

A boss battle against Amdobaizer will begin at the end of the path near the engraved stone (the stone that fully recovers HP).

Learn the Combination Skill Double Smasher before the boss battle.

Skills can be used in Combination Mode so set Double Smasher from the menu.

For bosses, use Combination Skills while guarding against enemy power attacks in Combination Mode.

Head to the bar.

Before you go inside the bar, talk to the people you helped on Hagen Road.

Explore the city.

Talk to Glenn who is about to open the door.

Rescue now becomes available. By holding down the □ or Y button, you can spend half of your HP with an ally who is knocked out to revive them.

Head to the Command Center.

When you head towards the inn and bar, you will trigger a battle against the Silver-Haired Woman.

Use Combination Mode as often as you can in battle. The fight ends when the enemy’s HP is reduced by about 70%.

Go up the hill.

Move up the hill while using the Mana String towards the tree branch.

Open the chest to get Breath Water.

When you return from the Island of Emotions, go through the tutorial battle on the Revenge gauge. When guarding in Combination Mode, the damage multiplier of Combination Skills increases.

Escape to the old shipyard to avoid being grabbed by the enemies.

Destroy rubble along the path by holding down the x or A button. Use Mana String to jump over cliffs as you move to the next destination.

Sail to Balta Island.

Operate the ship and sail to Balta Island.

Move forward while changing the camera view to “long” with □ or Y button to “Long”. This lets you see your surroundings better while sailing.

You can shoot cannonballs during Naval Battles with the 〇 or A button. Once the enemy has slowed down, quickly approach with L1 or L to flank the enemy. Then, use EX bombardment with the △ or X button.
