Game Overview

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a role-playing game crafted by the brilliant creators behind Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5. This game introduces a new battle system combining turn-based actions with real-time combat. Moreover, it features an extensive array of characters and an intriguing narrative that players will unravel.

Story

The story of Metaphor: Re Fantazio takes place in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, where the king’s assassination has caused turmoil and chaos throughout the nation. The people are then faced with the task of electing a new king. But before the king’s demise, he succeeded in invoking the Royal Magic, which would help the people select the next king, thereby captivating the world with a royal tournament for the throne.

Journey

The protagonist and his ally, the fairy Gallica, must find a way to lift the curse cast upon his childhood friend and also the prince, whom the entire kingdom presumes is dead. But in order to do this, they must embark on a journey across the world.

To successfully complete their goal, they will learn that they must enter the tournament for the throne, a formidable endeavor that requires forming alliances with numerous people and followers from the diverse tribes that populate the world.

Fast Battles & Squads

Metaphor: ReFantazio introduces a new combat system that fuses elements of real-time and turn-based mechanics. Fast Battles enable players to engage in swift, real-time combat, ideal for defeating lower-level foes, whereas Squad Battles offer a more methodical, turn-based strategy involving the whole party.

In the world of Metaphor: ReFantazio, Archetypes are heroic figures that the protagonist and his followers can unlock and embody by overcoming challenges.
