Trails to Azure takes place after the events of Trails from Zero
The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure Remaster takes place after the events of Trails from Zero and pushes the narrative forward. Additional plot twists will follow the events of Trails of Cold Steel I and II so it is highly encouraged to play the game as well. The game’s overarching plot will lead to the story of Trails of Cold Steel III and IV.

Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure are part of The Legends of Heroes series’ Crossbell Arc. In terms of game releases, it is the second main story arc after the Liberl Arc (Trails in the Sky) and precedes the Erebonia Arc (Trails of Cold Steel).
After completing the first three major story arcs, play the epilogue crossover game, Trails into Reverie. Then, wait for the official English translations of Kuro no Kiseki I and Kuro no Kiseki II to be released.
