Arena

The arena is a place where you can combat against other players’ units. When you enter your unit to go against another unit, you are fighting on a global fighting ground. Players all over the world get to fight you and you’ll also obtain a global ranking. When you obtain a ranking, this event will refresh in every month or so. After finishing up the tournament for that month, you’ll receive a reward in accordance to the rank you finished in.

Why should I join the Arena?

Unlike the story, the drop rates for rare items are higher when in the Arena. This is also true especially when you win against an enemy. When in the arena, you earn points. The more points you earn, the more feathers you get. In doing so, you won’t have a hard time awakening your heroes. To awaken your heroes, you’re going to need feathers and badges depending on the rank.

Not only that, while in the arena, you also earn EXP and SP points while fighting in the arena.

Tips to Survive in the Arena

When arranging your characters, there are several things to consider. Some of these things include attributes and bonus stats for certain characters.

Bonus Characters

Every stage or at least every tournament, there’s a special feature called the Bonus Character. For this mechanic, if you choose the character who is within that season’s bonus, the character will receive an extra. Those extra boosts can be useful in battle especially when they come across an enemy they are strong against.

However, take note: the effect spans universally across all players. Thus, it would be safe to assume as well that many players may use that same character to take advantage of the bonus. Make sure you have characters that can counter that character and you’re aware of the abilities on them in order to develop a good counter strategy.

Attribute Balance

Remember, each character has a type. And, each of those types can be countered. When creating a unit, make sure the team has a balanced set-up. Just like any other strategy game, you need to make sure your characters not only have good synergy. But, they also have to not compromise on ATK power yet still have enough defense power to survive. Because of the Bonus Character mechanic, some attributes may be more favoured for that season.

Seasonal Differences

Every tournament changes in mechanics. These are called Seasonal Differences. When the previous season ends, the mechanics change upon ending. As soon as the new tournament season is up, the attribute bonuses change and even the character selections change. Thus, the meta for Fire Emblem: Heroes changes every season.

Know your terrain

The terrain is important especially for some characters. Despite the terrain looking easy, some characters may be unable to cross it. This could be caused by a mismatch of abilities or their attributes clashing with that of the terrain. If this happens, your opponent can take advantage of it and wipe you out.
